Terms of service

Phjord is a trading name of Jeffrey Afianmagbon, a sole trader established in England and Wales. Our address for correspondence and service is Ellison Pl, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 8ST.

You can contact us at support@phjord.com about anything to do with your contract, cancelling, or a complaint. We aim to reply within five working days.

Phjord is software you use to draft and manage your own invoices, records and receipts. You operate it. Phjord is not an accountant, bookkeeper, tax adviser or agent, and using it does not create any professional or advisory relationship. We do not do your books for you.

Phjord drafts, and you approve. Drafts produced by AI may contain mistakes, which is why nothing is saved, sent or acted on until you have reviewed and approved it. All money figures shown to you are computed by our own software, not stated by an AI model.

Phjord helps you keep your records in order and shows how ready they are for Making Tax Digital. Phjord does not file anything with HMRC on your behalf and will not do so. Any submission to HMRC remains yours to make, and any deadline reminders we send are a convenience, not a guarantee that you have met an obligation.

You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of your own records, invoices and tax figures. You must review everything before you rely on it, send it, or use it for any tax or legal purpose. Responsibility for your tax position, and for anything you submit to HMRC or send to a client, rests with you.

Phjord is a paid subscription with no free tier. Prices as of 2026-07-26 are £7 a month or £70 for the year, and £59.99 for the year for founding members while founding places remain. Prices include any applicable tax. Payment is taken by Stripe, our payment processor.

Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. We collect your card at the start but do not charge it during the trial. We will email you before the trial ends. If you do not cancel before the trial is up, your subscription begins, your card is charged the plan price, and it renews automatically each month or each year at that price until you cancel.

Once you have joined as a founding member your founding place is permanent. You keep the founding price while your subscription is active, and if you cancel you can rejoin at the founding price. A founding place is never released to another person.

If we change our prices we will tell you by email before the change takes effect, and you can cancel before it does.

The legal right. Because you sign up online, you have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The cancellation period ends 14 days after the day you sign up.

Your free trial lasts 14 days, which covers that whole period, so cancelling within it means you are never charged anything at all.

How to cancel. Go to Settings, open the Subscription tab, and choose Cancel subscription. It takes effect straight away and you do not have to tell us why. To meet the deadline it is enough that you cancel before the cancellation period ends. If you cannot get into your account, email us at support@phjord.com from the address you signed up with and we will cancel it for you.

Starting straight away. By starting your trial you are asking us to begin providing the service during the cancellation period. If you then cancel, you must pay a proportionate amount for the service provided up to the point you told us, which during the free trial is nothing.

Refunds. If you cancel within the 14-day period we will refund any payment we have taken from you, less any proportionate amount for service already provided, using the same means of payment, within 14 days of being told.

Cancelling later. After the 14 days you can still cancel at any time from your settings. Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again.

You agree to use Phjord only for your own lawful business purposes, to keep your login details secure, and not to misuse the service, attempt to break its security, or submit data you have no right to submit. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, and we will tell you why.

How we handle your personal data, including how the AI features process what you submit and what we would share if the competition organisers ask about our customers, is set out in our privacy notice. The business records you create in Phjord remain yours.

We work to keep Phjord available and correct, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free. To the extent the law allows, and apart from the statutory rights described below, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 that a service is carried out with reasonable care and skill.

Subject to that, our total liability to you for all claims arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, or loss arising from your reliance on figures or drafts you did not check before using them.

We may change these terms, for example to reflect changes to the service or to the law. If a change materially affects you we will tell you by email before it takes effect, and you can cancel if you do not accept it. The version date at the top of this page tells you which terms are current.

If something has gone wrong, email support@phjord.com and we will try to put it right. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your own courts.
